AI in coatings development: insights from ECS 2025

PI Probaligence exhibited at the European Coatings Show 2025 in March, bringing AI to paints and coatings. Automated design of experiments and intelligent control of high-throughput experimentation drew the strongest visitor interest.

Automated DoE and high-throughput experimentation: proven and scalable

Three days of insightful discussions, curious minds, and new perspectives: our presence at the European Coatings Show 2025 was an inspiring experience. This year our focus was clear, bringing the power of AI into the world of paints and coatings.

Interest centered on two things, and in both our AI is already accelerating formulation, cutting trial and error, and supporting better decisions from day one.

  • Automated design of experiments. The plan adapts to each result instead of being fixed upfront.
  • High-throughput experimentation. Intelligent control of the workflow, so the capacity goes into informative samples.

AI adoption in coatings is still gaining traction, but the feedback was unmistakable: the industry is ready, and so are we.
