What happens when AI moves from a general trend into real engineering workflows?
At the CADFEM Conference Rapperswil 2026, we had the chance to explore exactly that.
With more than 400 participants from different industries and engineering disciplines, the event created a great environment for discussions around simulation, automation, and AI in product development.
One highlight was Dr. Kevin Cremanns’ presentation on the latest developments in STOCHOS Flow and the role of Agentic AI in engineering.
The focus: Turning engineering knowledge, simulation data, solver logic, probabilistic models, optimization, and reporting into transparent workflows that can be adapted and reused across teams.
Projects presented
It was also great to see STOCHOS applied in further projects presented in collaboration with CADFEM:
→ a VAT project connecting measurement data and CFD simulation results for more precise flow prediction
→ a Jaeger-LeCoultre project in the context of high-precision watch mechanics
The strong interest in the AI sessions and the many concrete conversations at our booth showed once again: Engineering teams are ready to move from AI exploration to practical implementation.
A big thank you to CADFEM Switzerland for the invitation, the organization, and the continued collaboration.
